The Event
Yale Center Beijing, Coursera, Guokr, MOOC and Lean In Beijing jointly invite you to a talk by Felice Chen, former vice chairwoman of UBS Investment Bank Asia Pacific, on how to cultivate professionalism and leadership in a global setting.
The Speaker
Felice Chen is an Adjunct Professor at the Finance Department of Taiwan University's College of Management. Professor Chen is the founder and Chief Officer of the Department's “Mentor Program”, which facilitates students’ experiential and intellectual learning by allowing them to work with alumni of prominent social and professional standing on a pro-bono basis.
Professor Chen lectures at Peking University's GSM and at Tsinghua University's (Beijing) EMBA Program, as well as at MBA Programs at Tsinghua University and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Professor Chen is a seasoned executive in the investment banking industry. She has served as the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of UBS Investment Bank's Asia-Pacific Region, Vice President of Lehman Brothers Asia Pacific, and President of Investment banking at HSBC Taiwan.
Professor Chen is extensively involved in public affairs and takes a keen interest in women's education. She served as executive advisor for multiple sessions of Taiwan's Executive Yuan, and as vice executive officer of its National Development Fund. She held directorship on the boards of Taiwan's National Culture & Arts Foundation, Chinese Television System, and Taipei Women's Rescue Foundation.
Professor Chen authored a book, Felice Chen on Professionalism, in 2015. She runs a video lecture series, entitled "Professionalism" on MOOC/Coursera since 2014, and began hosting a regular video program on Chinese audio website Himalaya FM “The Way to Professional Excellence” in August 2015. Professor Chen now devotes herself to lecturing on the topic of professionalism, coaching young talents and entrepreneurs in Greater China and abroad.
