The Event

Yale Club of Beijing and Yale Center Beijing jointly invite you to an "off-the-record" discussion with Yale alumna, former head of Tesla China, current China Science & Merchants Investment Management Group Co-President Veronica Wu.

The Speaker

Veronica Wu
Co-President at China Science & Merchants Investment Management Group

Ms. Veronica Wu is the Co-President of China Science and Merchants Capital Investment Management Group (CSC) overseeing the group’s international business development and operations. Ms. Wu joined the group in April 2015.

Ms. Wu is a seasoned business executive. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Tesla Motors, directing Tesla's China operations. Under Ms. Wu’s leadership, Tesla Motors was able to quickly gain traction in China, delivering thousands of cars in its first 7 months.

Before Tesla, Ms. Wu was the General Manager of Education and Enterprise Business, Greater China for Apple Inc. for 8 years. Ms. Wu was instrumental in building this business in Asia from the ground up. She grew the business 20x over her tenure at Apple to nearly USD $1.5 Billion.

Prior to Apple, Ms. Wu was Director of Ecosystem for Motorola Mobile Devices Division. Ms. Wu also served as Associate Principal at McKinsey & Company in its Greater China office, with a focus on the High-Tech sector.

Ms. Wu holds a B.S. from Yale University and M.S. from the University of California, Berkeley.
