The Event

We invite you to a panel discussion on how to groom the next generation of innovators with Yinuo Li, Co-founder of ETU Education, and Ami Dror, co-author of Raising the Next Generation of Innovators, on April 12 at Yale Center Beijing.

The Panelists

Yinuo Li
Co-Founder & ETU Education

Yinuo Li is the Co-founder of ETU Education (in her personal capacity), and she is also Director of the China Program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Yinuo used to be a partner at the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company in both Beijing and Palo Alto, California. She also serves on the final selection committee for the Rhodes Scholarship, and was named World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leader in 2016. Yinuo has a B.S. in biology from Tsinghua University in Beijing and a Ph.D. in molecular biology from UCLA. Yinuo has written a preface to the Chinese edition of Most Likely to Succeed: Preparing Our Kids for the Innovation Era.

Ami Dror
Founder & CEO & LeapLearner

Ami Dror is the founder & CEO of LeapLearner, an edutainment company that empowers students to become innovative self-learners with the skills they need to succeed in the 21st century. Ami is also the co-founder of Zaitoun Ventures, a Startup Factory that leads and executes investments in disruptive startups in Israel together with its international partners.
Prior to founding Zaitoun Ventures, Ami had a successful public sector career as head of security for the Israeli Prime-Minister and as Vice-Consul in Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ami is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute and the co-author of Raising the Next Generation of Innovators, recently published by the Fudan University Press.

The Moderator

Carol Li Rafferty
Managing Director & Yale Center Beijing

Carol Li Rafferty is the Managing Director of Yale Center Beijing, Co-Founder of Lean In China. She previously worked for the China Investment Corporation (CIC), the country’s sovereign wealth fund, as Senior Vice President, responsible for strategic and private equity investments.
Carol graduated cum laude from Yale University, with dual B.A. degrees in Economics and International Studies. She received her J.D. degree from Stanford Law School. She is also a China Fellow of the Aspen Institute. In 2016, the World Economic Forum (WEF) selected Carol as a Young Global Leader (YGL), and she currently serves as a member of the YGL Advisory Group, the YGL’s global advisory board.
