Please join us for a panel discussion on international education with counsellors from top high schools, including Tsinghua International School, Beijing No. 4 High School and Keystone Academy, on May 28 at Yale Center Beijing.

The Panelists

Ming '11
Director of College Counseling, Tsinghua International School

Ming was born in Fujian, China and moved to the United States at the tender age of eight. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Yale University in East Asian Studies, she spent two years as a middle school teacher in rural China, making the beginning of her career in international education. With nearly five years of experience counseling students regarding various topics in international education, she has guided more than one hundred students through the college application process to the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, China, Korea, Japan, and Singapore.

Vivian Yu
Director of Counseling Office, Beijing No. 4 High School

Vivian Yu is NACAC American University Counseling Committee Member, High School Representative, and ACAC International School Application Counseling Senior Member. She has visited more than 80 schools and been working in Counseling for about 9 years. As an early professional devoted to construct the international course structure, Vivian has learned from the overseas experiences and created a counseling system that works for the domestic students in China.

Percy Jiang
Co-Director of College Counseling, Keystone Academy

Percy Jiang helped initiate the college counseling project and build a professional counseling team for Keystone Academy. He is a member of National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and International ACAC. Percy served as a faculty member and Executive Board Member of International ACAC. Well respected within his professional field, Percy is an early founder of China Institute of College Admission Counseling (China ICAC). Prior to his career in Keystone, Percy had worked at a top public high school in Beijing for 15 years.

Martin Ma (Ph.D '07)
Founder, Metaschool

Dr. Martin Ma is founder of metaschool (www.metaschool.cn) with a vision to promote global innvoation and maker education in China. Dr. Ma holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Yale University.
