The Event

Patricia BARBIZET, Jinqing CAI, and Elaine KWOK will lead an information session at Yale Center Beijing on the upcoming "Mapping the International Art World" program. The program, which will be conducted in Mandarin Chinese, aims to expose participants to the contemporary art scene and the international art industry.

Patricia BARBIZET
Chief Executive Officer, Christie's

Ms. Barbizet was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Christie's in 2014 and has been involved with the company since 1998, serving as Chairman of Christie's International Plc since 2003.

Jinqing CAI
Chairman of Christie's China

Ms. Cai joined Christie's as the Managing Director of Christie's China in 2012. She was appointed President of Christie's China in 2014, and appointed to her current role of Chairman in 2016. Under Ms. Cai's leadership, Christie's launched its inaugural sale in China in 2013 and subsequently opened two new art spaces in Beijing and Shanghai.

Elaine KWOK
Director of Christie's Education, Asia

Ms. Kwok joined Christie's in 2007, and in 2011 became Director of Christie's Education, Asia, where she oversees the development of programs in both Hong Kong and Mainland China. She is also an Auctioneer for Christie's sales and a licensed auctioneer in the People's Republic of China, one of just a handful from Hong Kong.
