The Event

We invite you to join us for a fun and entertaining night with the Yale Spizzwinks(?), America’s first and oldest underclassman a cappella group, on May 14 at Yale Center Beijing, where you’ll enjoy a mix of classic and modern songs, ranging from pop to jazz standards.

The Singers

The Spizzwinks(?) have been sharing their unique blend of music and humor since 1914. The question mark in parentheses was actually added by the editor of Yale’s yearbook, who was unsure of the spelling of the fledgling group. Over the years, their repertoire has grown to include an eclectic range of songs—everything from Sinatra to Ed Sheeran, The Beatles to Bruno Mars. Concerts also include Yale classics and a touch of humor. This winning brand of collegiate a cappella has moved audiences around the world to tears and laughter, with a fan club including Lady Gaga, Joe Biden and the Vice Premier of China.
