The Event

On December 21, Dong Runnian, a well-established Chinese Screenwriter and Director, will join his producer to give a talk at Yale Center Beijing on "Exploring the Boundaries of Film Genres". He will share with the audience his two-decade experience in screenwriting as well as his reflection on and insights into the development of Chinese film and TV industry.

Dong Runnian
Screenwriter & Director

Dong graduated from Communication University of China with a Bachelor’s Degree in Directing and a Master’s Degree in Film Studies. His screenplay works include Mr. Six, Crazy Alien, Breakup Buddies, The Chef,The Actor,The Scoundrel. He won Golden Rooster Award for Best Writing for Mr. Six in 2017. His directorial debut Gone With The Light is currently shown in cinema.
