The Event

The field of biomedicine has always been at the forefront of global scientific, medical, and commercial innovation. From gene editing and personalized medicine to cell therapy, biomedicine is advancing at an unprecedented pace, offering new therapeutic options to patients worldwide. As this highly specialized industry evolves, an increasing number of returnees to China are bringing back the latest technology and resources, contributing to the development of China’s pharmaceutical industry. While earnestly cultivating the domestic market, local Chinese innovations are also actively expanding internationally, promoting global exchanges and cooperation to benefit more patients.

Under the guidance of the Beijing Western Returned Scholars Association, the 2024 International Biomedical Innovation Trends Forum, jointly organized by the University College London (UCL) Club of Beijing, the Yale Healthcare Club of China, the Penn Medicine China Club, and Yale Center Beijing, will focus on key development trends in the medical industry. The forum will invite alumni from academia, industry, and the upstream and downstream sectors of the industry chain to share their experiences and insights. It will also provide a platform for exchange and cooperation within the industry, addressing the development of new production forces in the pharmaceutical industry in the new era.
