The Event

Climate change is one of the most urgent challenges to global sustainable development. To build a brighter future marked by sustainability and high-quality development, we must draw not only on science and technology, but also on the cultural wisdom embedded in Chinese traditions—from the ecological insights in Confucianism and Daoism to the environmental knowledge of ethnic communities.

On April 28, Mary Evelyn Tucker and John Grim, Co-Directors of the Yale Forum on Religion and Ecology, will join Xia Chen, Research Fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Zongxu (Hazim) Xie, Co-Founder of Vision 2061, for a panel discussion on how to stimulate new paths for change in a warming world. The conversation will be moderated by Binbin Wang, Yale World Fellow ’23.
