The Event
On June 13, Pauline Lin, Senior Lecturer and Director of Undergraduate Studies of East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale University, will discuss her latest research on the construction of an early Chinese "waterpark" in the Pit of Bronze Birds (Pit K0007) from the First Emperor of Qin's Mausoleum at Yale Center Beijing. Through the talk, Lin will introduce the audience to what an early Chinese "garden" might have been like, linking it to some of the characteristics of later Chinese imperial parks we might find from objects in the Palace Museum's ongoing exhibit on Chinese gardens and works from the Beinecke Library at Yale University.
The Benefit
Yale alumni, students, and faculty who participate in this event will receive priority access to the “Rejoicing in Woods and Springs with Martina Droth” event on June 27. Please scan the QR code or copy the link below for more details.
