The Event

China is currently undergoing a pivotal phase of economic restructuring and industrial upgrading. While emerging industries are thriving, traditional sectors are rapidly transforming and financial markets are experiencing profound changes. Amid this complex and dynamic landscape, how can we identify the underlying patterns of development? How can we seize new opportunities while navigating the challenges posed by the current economic and financial climate?

On June 28, Jian Gao, a renowned economist and former Executive Vice President of the China Development Bank, will speak at Yale Center Beijing, sharing insights into the fundamental logic and key features of the innovation-driven economy, as well as the evolution of postmodern finance. This lecture will help Yale alumni and friends deepen their understanding of current macroeconomic trends and the changing contours of global financial markets.
