Fundamentals of Management: A Yale Pre-MBA Program

Renowned Yale School of Management professors will expose you to management fundamentals and show you how MBA training can help you to achieve your career goals, make an impact on society, and become a transformational leader in your chosen professional sector.

This two-week program for recent graduates (with less than three years of professional experience) and current university students who aspire to become global leaders for business and society will help you understand global business and hone your leadership skills, while exposing you to the rigor of MBA training.

Fundamentals of Management, Yale’s pre-MBA program in Beijing, will help you achieve your goals in business and develop your leadership skills in ways that benefit you, your profession, and society. The insights you will obtain will familiarize you with the value of an MBA education that emphasizes rigorous analysis and decision making in a complex, interconnected global marketplace

BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT

You will engage with key business concepts drawn from Yale’s MBA program in areas such as accounting and finance, entrepreneurship, global economics, marketing, and strategy.

COMPANY VISITS

Participants will visit leading companies in Beijing to explore how concepts from the MBA program are implemented in real life.

NETWORKING

Fundamentals of Management will provide you with networking opportunities with other participants, businesses in Beijing, and the greater Yale community. 

CONTENT

This two-week program will include modules on

• Accounting and Finance

• Entrepreneurship

• Global Economics

• Marketing and Strategy

• Teamwork and Leadership

• Getting Ready for the MBA

Participants will also become immersed in teamwork, a central feature of top MBA programs, and will become exposed to case studies and real companies. Most days involve 6–8 hours of presentations and teamwork. 

Sessions are facilitated by Yale School of Management professors and management education experts. Contributors include:

Early Admission Program Fee: 2,500 US dollars (15,500 RMB)

Financial support is available for a few, highly deserving participants.
