Managing Partner at McKinsey's Beijing Office

Jin Yu is a Partner of McKinsey and Managing Partner of its Beijing Office. In addition to advising clients on the strategic development of in-house talent and leadership capabilities, she serves as an inspirational role model for women everywhere-Dr. Yu is a successful senior woman leader in a traditionally male dominated professional world, as well as a mother of two kids. She was elected as one of the “top 30 most influential business women leaders in China” by Chinese Entrepreneur Magazine in 2014.

Dr. Yu is a key leader of McKinsey’s training and leadership development programs, providing personal coaching and mentoring to many high potential talents both within and outside of McKinssey. While serving as a trusted advisor to CEOs of many leading Chinese enterprises, Dr. Yu also spends her spare time coaching young entrepreneurs. She devotes her time to charity work, helping underprivileged young people to develop business-building skills.

Jin Yu speaks regularly at prestigious forums in China and internationally on topics pertaining to strategic transformations, leadership development, capability development, and other management issues.

Born in China, Jin Yu received her doctorate in economics from the California Institute of Technology. She lives with her husband and two children in Beijing.
