The Event
The human brain is made of over 100 billion neurons, each of which forms thousands of specific connections to other neurons. These connections are critical for humans to experience the world, have feelings, move, communicate, and think. Professor Anthony Koleske will discuss how nerve cells in the brain form connections called synapses during brain development and how these connections become disrupted in mental illness and neurodegenerative diseases.
LANGUAGE
The language of the event will be English, with simultaneous translation into Chinese.
