Fees and Payment
Fees:
$1,000 USD (¥6,500 RMB)
(includes instruction, housing, three meals per day, and processing fees. Students are responsible for transportation to and from Beijing.)
Payment:
A non-refundable deposit of $500 USD, payable online, is due approximately two weeks after decisions are released. The remaining tuition balance of $500 USD is due at the end of December.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
YYGS-Beijing is an immersive 9-day pre-collegiate experience designed to cultivate the next generation of Chinese leaders and scholars, helping to build stronger links between China and a rapidly changing world. Through a highly competitive application process, up to 80 talented high school students will have the opportunity to learn from distinguished Yale faculty, students, alumni, and practitioners, all while experiencing state-of-the-art facilities at the Yale Center Beijing.
2017 YYGS-Beijing is offering full tuition scholarships to 15 outstanding students from around the world!

Program Highlights

- Participate in interdisciplinary lectures, elective seminars, and skill-building workshops specially designed to foster leadership, develop communication and presentation skills, and enhance critical writing ability
- Meet distinguished scholars and practitioners in a wide range of fields, including history, economics, public health, innovation and entrepreneurship, international affairs, and applied science
- Learn to recognize and understand global issues, develop and articulate reasoned responses, and generate thoughtful solutions
Eligibility
Outstanding high school students who are in the 10th or 11th grade.
