The Event

MMS in Systemic Risk: A first-of-its-kind, specialized year-long master’s degree for early- and mid-career employees of central banks and other major regulatory agencies with a mandate to manage systemic risk. The speakers will speak about the new degree program and conduct a general discussion on financial systemic risk.

The Speakers

Andrew Metrick '89 (Video Guest)
Michael H. Jordan Professor of Finance and Management, Yale School of Management;
Former Chief Economist for President Obama's Council of Economic Advisors

From August 2009 to July 2010, Professor Metrick served on the staff of the Council of Economic Advisers and as the financial economist staffing the President’s Economic Recovery Board, where he worked extensively on what became the Dodd-Frank Act, and on many areas relating to the ongoing crisis.

Dr. Li Haitao, PhD '97
Dean's Distinguished Chair Professor of Finance, Associate Dean for the MBA Program

Dr. Li serves on the editorial boards of Management Science (the Department of Finance) and the International Review of Finance.
