2018 Yale Young Global Scholars Beijing Program (YYGS-Beijing) opened today in Yale Center Beijing. YYGS-Beijing 2018 will be an immersive 14-day pre-collegiate experience under the theme of Asia in the 21st Century. The program is designed to cultivate the next generation leaders and scholars, helping to build stronger links between Asia and a rapidly changing world. Through a highly competitive application process, 90 participants from 25 countries and regions joined the program and will have the opportunity to communicate from distinguished Yale faculty, students, alumni, and practitioners about the Asia development.

At the opening ceremony, Executive Director of YYGS Edward Wittenstein said that the whole world faces many challenges in 21st century, such as health, safety, development and climate change. Program like YYGS, which connects young leaders from the globe will be the best choice for future challenges.
