The Event

Can limits on calorie intake enhance life span? Can calorie restriction improve human health and slow aging? Vishwa Deep Dixit, Yale School of Medicine's Waldemar Von Zedtwitz Professor of Pathology and Professor of Immunobiology, and director of the Yale Center for Research on Aging, will speak about the latest scientific breakthroughs in aging on October 29.

The Speaker

Vishwa Deep Dixit
Waldemar Von Zedtwitz Professor of Pathology and Professor of Immunobiology,
Yale School of Medicine Director, Yale Center for Research on Aging

Vishwa Deep Dixit is the Waldemar Von Zedtwitz Professor of Pathology and Professor of Immunobiology at Yale School of Medicine. He also directs Yale Center for Reserarch on Aging (Y-Age). Dixit lab studies immunometabolism and aging. His team helps establish NLRP3 inflammasome in causing ‘inflammaging’ and immunosenescence that leads to age-related chronic diseases including metabolic dysfunction. He has received many awards and honors, including Nathan W. Shock Award from National Institute on Aging, Vincent Cristofalo Lecture on Gerontology from Wistar Institute, and the Glenn Award for Aging Research.
