The Event

How to connect international capital efficiently and safely with micro and small businesses has always been a world-famous puzzle. In the digital era, as the first mover, Micro Connect took the lead in applying financial technology to investment in brick-and-mortar stores. The seemingly unrelated Wall Street capital is now linked with the small shops from everywhere in our lives, creating an unexpected "Maillard reaction." Within two years, Micro Connect has invested in more than 10,000 stores with over 600 brands nationwide, with a total investment amount exceeding RMB 3 billion.

Gary Zhang, Founder and Group CEO of Micro Connect and CEO of Micro Connect Macao Financial Assets Exchange (MCEX), will be a guest speaker at the Yale Centre Beijing on December 9. Based on his 30 years+ experience in the Chinese and international financial markets, Gary will talk about his Micro Connect story as well as reflections and thoughts in the process of founding Micro Connect with co-founder Charles Li, the former CEO of HKEX.
